Illinois has one of the earliest primaries in the nation. Big money’s strategies in these races is an early sign of how these groups plan to meddle in midterm races through November.
The Pro-Israel, Crypto, and AI lobbies have spent nearly $40 million on the Illinois Democratic primaries alone.
Fifteen candidates in Illinois have taken the Political Integrity Pledge to:
Ban Congressional stock trading and own no individual stocks while in office
Reject corporate PAC $$
Support a five-year lobbying ban for former members
Support overturning Citizens United
Of these candidates, polls indicate that five have a strong chance of winning.
