Once Again: The Political Integrity Pledge is Good Electoral Politics
James Talarico proves anti-corruption politics is the way to build a broad coalition.
When we first launched the Political Integrity Project, we faced a lot of pushback from donors and DC consultants who claimed:
You can’t just unilaterally disarm. If your opponent is rolling in corporate cash, you need to as well!
Yesterday proved that to be wrong.
James Talarico is officially the first Senate candidate to take the Political Integrity Pledge and win. Throughout his campaign, Talarico centered the anti-corruption politics that are core to our mission and the results speak for themselves.
Voters are fed up. To build a winning coalition, candidates must demonstrate they stand against corruption and big money in politics.
The Political Integrity Pledge is the best way to do that.
Congratulations to James.
Onto the next one.

I'm happy that Talarico won because I am fed up with money in politics, Citizens United, etc. I'm grateful you have created this tool to help voters identify who the best candidates are, especially during primary season. Every voter who is fed up with corruption, needs to use it. I'm hopeful you will expand this tool to include governor's races and local state races in houses/assemblies and Senates across America. Thank you for all you do to shine some sunlight on this massive problem.
