In December we launched the Integrity Index, a website to track the political and personal finances of your member of Congress.
Today we are relaunching the Integrity Index as not just as a website, but the home-base for a movement that is fighting back against money in politics and elevating politicians with political integrity.
It was always going to be an uphill fight:
$16 billion was spent on the 2024 election.
$11 billion will be spent on the 2026 midterm elections.
2028 will likely break $20 billion.
To the average Joe, this arms race is unsustainable, but talk to any fundraiser - Democrat or Republican - and they’ll tell you:
Yea, that’s just how the game works. You have to bend the knee to billionaire donors and raise funds from big corporations. If you don’t, your opponent will.
We are done playing that game.
We started the Political Integrity Project because we believe that there is a better way. No other country spends this much money on their elections. While the United States is exceptional in many ways, this should not be one of them.
Today, we are bringing the Integrity Index out of beta.
Now, you can track the political and personal finances of every congressional candidate across the country and every dollar of Super PAC money spent.
It is time we stop listening to consultant-crafted press-releases, and start bringing receipts. With the Integrity Index, corrupt politicians have no place left to hide and candidates committed to this fight can be elevated, gain momentum, and win.
